🧬 Races of The Ember Dream

Who You Are Shapes How You Play

In The Ember Dream, your race isn’t just a checkbox—it’s a core part of your character’s identity, backstory, and the way they experience the world. Races here influence more than your appearance; they affect your powers, your weaknesses, your relationships, and even your role in the greater story.

From ancient bloodlines to mystical beings, from humans with quiet resilience to dragons in disguise, every race in our world has a purpose—and a path.

✨ What Does Race Affect?

Choosing a race will influence your gameplay and storytelling in a number of meaningful ways:

  • RP Style & Story Hooks
Your race helps define where you come from, what you believe in, and how the world treats you. It opens doors to specific factions, regional lore, and cultural conflicts that add texture to your story.

  • Unity Maxim Stats & Abilities
Races are tied to base stat modifiers (HP, Dex, Aura, etc.) and unlock unique passive traits or active abilities in the Unity Maxim HUD system. Some are better at magic. Some are brutal in a fight. Some walk between worlds.

  • Physical Traits & Weaknesses
From sunlight sensitivity to enhanced senses, each race brings physical perks and narrative flaws that make for great RP drama and balance.

  • World Integration
Each race has deep roots in the setting—connected to cities, factions, historical events, or divine forces. You’re not just playing a fantasy type—you’re stepping into a living legacy.

🧠 Choosing the Right Race for You

When picking a race, consider your ideal style of roleplay:

  • Want to play a fierce warrior? You might look at Vaelkin, Stoneborn, or Forged.

  • Prefer magic, mystery, or divine calling? Check out Druids, Myrran, or Drakari.

  • Looking for politics, seduction, or supernatural menace? The Noctari (vampires) may call to you.

  • Want to blend in and surprise people? Humans can be anything—and are often underestimated.

No matter what you choose, there’s room to shape your character in unique, personal ways. Every race is powerful in its own right—the real strength comes from how you tell the story.
