Druids

The Druids

“We do not worship. We remember.”

🌿 Who Are the Druids?

Druids are not a race in the traditional sense—they are a lineage of those touched by the breath of Namsae, tied to the Heartroot, and able to hear the song of the world. Though many are Mythborn, druids can be born to any race if the land wills it.

They are caretakers, memory-bearers, and stewards of cycles.
A druid does not channel magic.
A druid awakens it.

🌱 Origins & Bloodlines

The first druids rose from the breath of Namsae herself. They did not learn their magic—they inherited it. Their blood remembers the turning of seasons, the shape of roots, the voices of the wind.

Most druidic bloodlines trace back to ancient Mythborn, especially those of Stoneborn or Vaelkin ancestry. However, the blood has diluted over generations, and in rare cases, even a human child may awaken to the call of the earth.

🌈 Magic & Power

Druids wield magic differently than other casters:

  • They do not cast spells. They shape them.

  • Their power draws from the Heartroot and the leyline web.

  • Magic flows through them as memory, breath, and intention.

They are strongest in places of deep memory: old forests, sacred springs, forgotten ruins. Their abilities include:

  • Healing and regrowth

  • Weather shaping

  • Plant control

  • Blood rituals

  • Elemental channeling

  • Dreamwalking and memory scribing

Druids trained within a Circle may bind their power communally, enhancing spells or sustaining sacred zones.

🔪 Fall of the Vale

The druidic peak was the Whispering Vale, where the Heartroot once touched the surface as a living tree. When the tree vanished, the Vale withered—and the druids fractured.

Some say the land was wounded.
Some believe the tree was stolen in a night of shadow.
Others whisper of betrayal buried deep beneath the city.

Whatever the truth, their connection to Namsae dimmed. Their magic weakened. Many Circles dissolved. Others went into hiding.

Some now serve other powers.
Others walk the world alone, hoping to restore what was lost.

🤍 Beliefs & Practices

Druids do not worship gods. They remember balance.

Their rites are rooted in:

  • Cycles of life and death

  • Seasonal rituals

  • The tending of sacred places

  • Listening to the land

  • Restoring balance when it is broken

They whisper to stones. Bleed for storms.
Carve runes into tree bark.
Bury memories so they can bloom later.

They believe magic has a will,
and that Namsae is not gone—only silent.

☠️ Modern Challenges

Druids today are:

  • Mistrusted by urban centers

  • Feared for their blood rituals and strange visions

  • Hunted by some who believe they caused the world’s imbalance

  • Revered in secret by villagers, mystics, and rebels

Their future depends on:

  • The healing of the Heartroot

  • The rekindling of forgotten wisdom

  • The emergence of new memory-bearers called by the flame

Druids are not spellcasters.
They are the world trying to remember itself through flesh.
