Hall of Flame: Heart of Sovereignty
“The Flame does not flicker; it reigns.”
Role in the Ember Court
The Hall of Flame is the ruling Hall of Ironspire and the seat of the Flamecrowned Sovereign. More than a noble house, it is the symbolic and practical center of power, responsible for maintaining the Ember Throne, presiding over court functions, and stewarding the spiritual and political traditions that bind the realm together.
Only those born into, married into, or Flamebound to the Hall of Flame may claim blood-tie to the Sovereign’s line, and the Ember Crown itself is guarded and sanctified by its inner circle.
Responsibilities
- Sovereign Authority: The Hall carries the weight of national governance, delegating to other Halls but never surrendering its supremacy.
- Custodians of the Throne: They protect the Ember Throne and conduct rituals surrounding succession.
- Ceremonial Flamekeepers: Rituals such as Flamebinding, the Ashwalk, and Ember Oaths are conducted by its priests and scribes.
- Civic Unity: Charged with embodying the unity of all the Halls and factions. Any schism within the realm is seen as a failure of the Hall of Flame.

Their colors are deep crimson, brass-gold, and smoke-gray.
Relations
The Hall of Flame must balance favoritism with fairness. While they maintain a close alliance with the Hall of Law and Hall of Holdings, they frequently contend with the Hall of Echoes over matters of prophecy and secrecy. Their greatest internal fear is being seen as tyrannical rather than unifying.
