The House of the Nocturnal Rose is the ruling faction of the vampire race known as the Noctari—immortal beings born of ancient blood magic. A silent empire of Houses, bloodlines, and secret influence, they hold dominion over the vast underground of Ironspire and extend their influence into the city’s politics and shadow markets.

Not all Noctari belong to the House, but those who do are bound by oath, ambition, or lineage to its intricate web of power.

Structure

The House is comprised of powerful Blood Houses, each ruled by a Bloodlord or Blood Queen. These Houses operate like ancient noble families, complete with lieges, thralls, warriors, scholars, and spies. They are connected through blood pacts, magical compacts, and deadly rivalries.

A rotating Council of Elders represents the most influential Houses within The House of the Nocturnal Rose, and convenes in the blackstone halls beneath Ironspire to maintain balance and enforce secrecy.

Common roles within the Conglomerate include:

• Bloodlord / Blood Queen – Ruler of a House

• Sire / Matron – Creator of a bloodline and guide to fledglings

• Archivist – Keeper of memory and forbidden knowledge

• Whisperblade – Enforcer and assassin

• Red Seer – Blood magic practitioner and oracle

Sacred Sites & Holdings

The House of the Nocturnal Rose’s influence radiates from the ancient vampire sanctum below Ironspire:

• Moonblood Grove – A name heard through whispers, myths, and legends. None but the Noctari truly know what it means or what it is.

• The Crimson Vault – Their hidden library of dark tomes and blood-bound scrolls

• The Bloodfall – Shrouded in myth, this site is revered as the cradle of Noctari power

Many surface dwellers are unaware of these places—and some who discover them never return.

Relations & Strategy

The Noctari play a long game.

• In public, they may act as nobles, patrons, or scholars

• In private, they move pieces across the board of Ironspire’s politics

• Their history with the Druidic Order and the Dragonblood Clan is marked by uneasy truces, forgotten feuds, and veiled accusations

• Their spies often infiltrate surface guilds and government ranks

The House is feared not just for its magic and strength—but for its patience.

OOC Note

The House of the Nocturnal Rose is the official Bloodlines clan associated with the Noctari in The Ember Dream. Bloodlines players are welcome and integrated into the vampire culture of the sim.

The clan is led in-character and OOC by Dakk, and resides on Nocturnal Drive—a street named in honor of their presence.

The Noctari Conglomerate blends Ember Dream lore with classic SL vampire roleplay and Bloodlines features.
