The Ember Cabal

The Ember Cabal

Coin Is Power. And We Never Let Go.

In a world of fire, prophecy, and rebellion—someone still has to pay for it all.

The Ember Cabal is no simple merchant guild. It is an elite, tightly-woven network of economists, financiers, traders, smugglers, auctioneers, and influence-brokers who control the flow of coin, goods, land, and leverage across the realm.

If something has value—they already own it. If it doesn’t—they can make it so.

From fine jewelry and ancient relics to trade routes, real estate, and political favors, The Ember Cabal moves beneath the surface of The Ember Dream, unseen but ever-present. Silent patrons of nobles. Benefactors of rebels. Sponsors of bloodsport, invention, art, and war—all if the price is right.

What They Do:

  • Control the trade of goods, commodities, and luxury items

  • Manage exclusive deals, auctions, investments, and contracts

  • Broker political influence through subtle funding or targeted debt

  • Maintain shadow networks of smugglers, appraisers, spies, and forgers

  • Drive economic shifts through currency control, trade blockades, or resource manipulation

  • Run shops, banks, trading houses, real estate agencies, black markets, and “legitimate fronts”

Some walk in fine robes and offer champagne. Others scribble in ledgers and order quiet assassinations. All of them smile as the coin changes hands.
