Overview

The Wayfarer’s Vow is not one guild but many—braided into a network of couriers, wanderers, scouts, oath-sworn agents, and map-bearing mystics. Where the city ends, their journey begins. Trusted with what must arrive, or what must disappear, they are the arteries of Ironspire’s unseen lifeblood: secrets, supplies, and sacred messages.

Each member swears an inviolable vow to deliver what they’ve taken on—be it a letter, a person, or a cause. To break the vow is to break the self. Very few have survived the consequences.

They walk the forgotten paths, the smuggler trails, and the storm-ridden skybridges. When they knock, you open. When they vanish, you wonder what they took with them.

Known Headquarters

The Crosswind Hall, Windspire Heights

  • A wind-worn hall built at the highest navigable point in the city

  • Perpetual wind chimes whisper encoded messages across the hall

  • Central map-table constantly updates via waystone resonance

  • A rooftop landing pad is used by skybound wayfarers and gliders

  • The lower chambers hold the Hall of Vows, where oaths are made in echo-stone

Identity & Philosophy

“The road is sacred. The promise is law.”

The Wayfarer’s Vow values movement, truth, and trust above all. Their members are less concerned with politics than with preservation—of routes, of information, of oaths. They believe that a city choked from the outside will rot within, and that the web of roads, rivers, and hidden paths must never be forgotten.

Most follow the Threefold Code: Don’t betray the path. Don’t fail the vow. Don’t reveal the shortcut.

They are fiercely independent—but when called, they answer.
